   Minita Gandh i  is an actress, playwright, and activist who was born in Mumbai, India. Her first full length play,   Muthaland  , is a dark comedy of a first generation Indian-American woman, who uncovers a culture of silence. The solo show has played at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Silk Road Rising, will receive its world premiere at 16th Street Theater in Berywn, IL, and has received features from  NBC ,  NPR , and  The Atlantic .  Minita has created her own workshop, "Using Your Art for Activism", for those seeking to artfully create meaningful social and political change. She is the co-creator of the Professional Mentorship Program for Women in the Arts, has led workshops and key note speeches for women's leadership, and is a master trainer for  Pinnacle Performance Company , a global communication skills training firm where she developed a women's leadership program.
